Purpose of the course
To equip the students with knowledge and skills in the organization and management of casino and gaming activities in the hotel industry.
Course content
Overview of the casino and gaming industry, Departments and staff in a casino, casino layout, casino for tourism and hospitality development, casino operations management and specific types of games; roulette, poker and slot machine, regulations of casinos, casino marketing and design, security and surveillance for casino and gaming management, gaming controls, promotion and database marketing in gaming and casino businesses, technology for casinos, slot management; problem gambling, currency reporting; casino cage, credit and collections, social, cultural and economic impacts of casinos and gaming.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to;
1. Explain the organization and staffing in casino operations.
2. Identify equipment and tools used in casino operations.
3. Appreciate the role of technology in casino and gaming operations.

Learning and teaching methods
The main approach to this course will be through class seminars. However, lectures and discussions will also be used.
