Purpose of the Course

This course aims to introduce students' to foundational knowledge of the diverse hospitality industry (hotels, food service, tourism) by covering sectors, operations, and management basics, developing customer service & communication skills, exploring career paths, and understanding industry trends to build a foundation for professional success in creating positive guest experiences. 

To introduce the students to the concepts, aspects, and practices of hospitality operations.

 

Purpose of the course

This course defines features of hospitality industry/services, who is a customer, attributes differences between practical and convivial service, professional etiquette & social skills, communication skills, staff etiquette when interacting with guest, handling of guest complaints, Etiquette in different departments, current issues in hospitality industry.
