Purpose of the Course
To provide students with knowledge on psychology as a significant approach to the study of religion. Definitions and methodological issues, relation of psychology of religion to other approaches to the study of religion, religious phenomena both of individuals and groups based on man`s relationship with God, the contents of revelation, the psychology of conversion, fundamental human religious experiences – thought, feelings, and behaviour, observations of individuals and group manifestation of the religious spirit, the present state of psychology of religion.

Purpose of the Course
A survey of religious thought from the mid-twentieth century to the present, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Islamic Religious thought, secularism trends such as existentialism, humanism and neo-Marxism, liberation theologies, contemporary religious movements such as evangelical revivalism & fundamentalism, 20th and 21st Century theologies, the future of religion in the context of secularism, science, and technology, pluralism and models of inter-religious relationships. How religious thinking influences contemporary society: socio-cultural context, politics and economic development.
