To introduce the concepts of the internal structure of the earth, external land forming processes such as mass wasting, weathering, Aeolian processes etc

To understand and appreciate the historical and philosophical underpinnings in Historical thought up to the 1900


Purpose of the Course

The course will subject critical reasoning to the enterprise that religion is. Using philosophical inquiry and analysis, the course attempts to provide an understanding of religious beliefs and practices. The overriding concern is, does religion make sense? It thus provides a critique of the religious worldview and phenomena.

Purpose of the Course

To introduce students to Old Testament scholarship; in particular analysis and survey of the Old Testament, its character or nature and features, authorship, dating, and contents or themes. Of emphasis will be a discussion on the literary analysis and relevance of the Old Testament to society today. The course is dived into two parts; Part 1 handles preliminary studies of the nature of the Old Testament; while Part 2 is an analysis of individual books.
