Purpose of the course

This course intends to further the understanding of  learners in recent developments in instrumentation and their significance in analytical Chemistry

Course Description

The course will entail description of analytical instruments that are frequently encountered in chemical analysis. The basic operating principle, the components and the applications of the instruments that will be discussed.

Course Objectives

                                     

  1. To learn the working principle of selected analytical intruments
  2. To learn various components of the instrument
  3. To learn how particular analytical instrument are applied

At the completion of this course, the student should be able to:

 

1.      Describe the working principle of various analytical instruments

  2. Explain the application of varoius instruments analytical chemistry.

Written examination (3 Hours), continuous assessment tests and assignments
