First Semester

A systematic  approach to the study of selected theories and research in human development e.g. cognitive, moral.  An in-depth study of the development and changes- overtime- of the physical, social, emotional, moral and cognitive development of the individual; and the cultural context of human development.


Purpose of the Course.

This course introduces learners to development throughout the lifespan and its implication on all aspects of  development  and  on  the teaching and learning process.


 PURPOSE OF THE COURSE: to equip the learner/ participant with knowledge and skills for developing different types of tests, focus on test usability, validity and reliability. It will also help the learner to identify decisions emanating from test results and how to improve learners performance.
