Purpose of Course:

Equip students with knowledge and skills on:

i)       Physical and chemical properties of water

ii)     Ocean basin structure

iii)    Environmental characteristics,

iv)   Water movements, and the role of tourism,

v)     MPA and EEZ on conservation of marine resources.


Purpose of the Course

 To equip learners with skills and knowledge on fish species identification, classification and curation.

 To transmit knowledge to students systematics, taxonomy, description, phylogeny, diversity, distribution of fishes,   application of FishBase and statistical analysis in case studies.


Purpose of the Course

To equip students with knowledge and skills in understanding developmental stages, nutritive/respiratory relationships in fishes and their environmental impact on development.
